Third Sector Minister experiences SBHG magic

Phil Hope, Minister for the Third Sector, has praised Shepherds Bush Housing Group (SBHG) for its imaginative 'magic-themed' exhibition stand at Forum3.

He witnessed card tricks, illusions and smiling employees and was happy to pose for pictures and take a pack of branded playing cards away.

"It really grabs your attention - I'll certainly remember you after seeing this," he remarked on a tour of some of the exhibition stands at forum3, the only professional recruitment, volunteering and networking event for the not-for-profit and public sectors.

SBHG, participating for the first time, also won the Best Newcomers Stand Award, sponsored by Charity People as the judges were impressed by our striking black stand incorporating a magic theme that outshone all other competitors.

Visitors found out all about the Group and registered for job alerts via our website. SBHG employees on our stand were listed in the judging criteria; an area where the judges felt we excelled, having friendly, enthusiastic and helpful representatives.

Paul Doe, Group Chief Executive, hosted a successful workshop: 'Adding Value to Local Communities' during the event and many attendees praised his delivery and content.

"I'm very proud of our team for creating such a dynamic display and the support of Phil Hope makes us even more enthusiastic to continue working with local communities," he commented.

An extremely successful two days for recruitment, with over 500 candidates registered to receive job alerts via our website and a number of visitors registered for voluntary opportunities.
