Shepherds Bush Housing Group helps the environment
Shepherds Bush Housing Group saved 69 trees by
recycling paper in the 'Shred it' cupboard bins dotted around our
offices last year.
The main types of paper which we recycled were:
- Office white paper
- Newspapers, magazines, telephone directories and pamphlets
- Cardboard
- Mixed or coloured paper
- Computer print out paper.
Staying Put Services are also doing their bit for the
environmental cause by introducing electronic tendering procedures
by e-mail, which could save around 4,000 sheets of paper a year. At
present they are sending 30% of their tenders by e-mail.
Did you know?
Fibres from recycled telephone directories
and yellow pages is being used to make egg cartons, cat litter,
jiffy bags and animal bedding among other things!
